Favorite T.V. shows at the moment

For part of my media blog I have to list my favorite T.V. shows.  I like to watch T.V. and movies on my bed, because I like to create a fake cinema.  I'd put a blanket over my head and the computer to watch any of the following shows.  Surprisingly, I've narrowed it down to six.
1) Grey's Anatomy
2) Project Runway
3) The 100
4) Avatar the Last Airbender
5) Match made in heaven
6) Friends
I watch quite a few more, but these seem to be the ones that I watch to truly feel something.  The list has quite a variety of genres and I think that's what I like about all of them collectively.  Grey's Anatomy makes me feel more connected to my emotions, by crying when all the characters die.  Project runway inspired me to sew and help me access a creative outlet.  The 100 is a sci-fi and drama, I like it because it experiments with a likely Utopia.  Avatar the last Airbender or is a sci-fi and comedy, and I like it because it's in a cartoon. And overall Avatar the last Airbender has just a really great plot. Match made in heaven is just so funny, it's a drama that's a way to overdone and dramatic version of the bachelor.   And lastly, Friends cheers me up no matter what mood I'm in.  All the TV shows are so different, but have all connected with me personally. These TV shows help me access a variety of my emotions.

  1. I can completely relate to this blog post Allison. I watch a few of the same shows as you so i know what you're talking about. I never thought about how a show makes me feel though. For example, I watch Grey's Anatomy every now and then, yet I've never really thought about how it can make me feel more connected with my emotions. I just think about all the chaos thats happening in the show at the moment. Or like in The 100, all I can focus on is whether Octavia is okay, or if she's off disobeying her brother again. There's just too much happening that I never exactly thought about all the emotion tied into all of this. Overall, I really liked this post.

  2. I love match made in heaven and project runway! I would totally agree that match made in heaven is overdramatized. But, I never really thought about the fact that project runway could be emotional/inspiring in the real world. This made me think about the utility of television shows, and how we can apply media to our daily lives. I will definitely watch more of your favorite shows!
